DNEC Circuit Strategy Meeting: 2026 Update

Since the summer of 2025, we have now held five open Circuit Strategy Meetings, where representatives from all of our fourteen churches have been represented. What a great turnout and thank you all for your contributions! These meetings continue to provide opportunities to share ideas and contribute greatly to the future mission plan for the circuit.

Since the autumn round of meetings, our churches have continued to discuss our strategy ideas at a local level. Many have contributed via questionnaires and special church meetings. We continue to encourage as many people as possible to engage with these on-going conversation as we collectively 'dream without limits'!

We received feedback from churches in January and our Circuit Leadership Team met to review all thoughts and comments. Our latest open Circuit Invitation Committee meeting met on Wednesday, January 21st at Central Methodist Church. Once more, we were hugely encouraged by all the churches who were able to send representation to this meeting. We plan to provide a further update with the outputs from that meeting in the coming days. Options for discussion at the next round of Church Councils, due to be held over February, will be presented via Circuit Stewards. Again, we encourage all to attend and contribute so we can discern the way God is directing us as the Derbyshire North East Circuit.

Ultimately, our discussions will form the draft Mission Plan, which will be presented to the Spring Circuit Meeting. A summary of our previous Circuit Meeting, held on 24th September 2025, can be found HERE
