Presbyter Minister

Mark was initially appointed to the Derbyshire North East Circuit as a probation presbyter, having completed his studies at Queen's Theological College, Birmingham, in the summer of 2020, taking responsibility for Central, Barlborough, and Clowne Methodist churches. Ordained in June 2022 and received into Full Connexion by Conference, Mark was reinvited to stay in our Circuit in the summer of 2023. Mark will now remain with us until 2030 and has pastoral responsibility for 7 churches: Loundsley Green LEP, Central, Bolsover, Hasland, Storrs Road, Barlborough, and Clowne Methodist churches.

Mark's passion has always been to work with young people and families, whilst holding a particular ministry in the discipleship and nurturing of others. He brings a wealth of senior management experience from his previous roles, where he managed IT departments for major companies. Having already completed his first degree in Social Policy, Mark has now completed his post-grad studies at Queen's Theological College, Birmingham.

Mark is also on various charitable boards, including Harehills Court, managed by Chesterfield Churches Housing Association, and the Freedom Project, operating out of Bolsover and supporting various communities in our region.
